Payroll Specialist

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees. You will play a crucial role in maintaining payroll records, resolving payroll discrepancies, and assisting with various financial tasks.
Responsibilities
- Process and review employee timecards and attendance records
- Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings
- Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations
- Prepare and distribute paychecks
- Handle inquiries from employees regarding payroll matters
- Collaborate with HR to update employee information in the payroll system
- Assist with year-end payroll activities such as W-2 processing
- Work on monthly commissions reports for the sales department.
Experience
- Proficiency in payroll software such as CDK and Quickbooks or similar systems
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Experience in corporate accounting and benefits administration
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes
- Ability to work with financial software for data entry and reporting
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and tax regulations
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $11.50 - $14.00 per hour
