We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company’s accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.
Duties
- Returns & credits - Assign, distribute and track return authorizations. Match up and calculate to prepare return credits for data entry, in addition to other types of credits/invoices. Backup gets scanned and credits are either emailed or mailed to clients on a daily basis
- Process Credit Applications for new and existing customers. Thoroughly research applicant's business status, history and credit, sending out credit and bank reference requests
- Relieve Reception - Cover phones for receptionist lunches and breaks, various days and times split between departments
- Credit Hold Review - Run list of orders on credit hold as needed. Review account status to see if order can be released. Call for payment if account is past due or release if account is current.
- Collaborate with internals teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Provide excellent customer service to Sales Team and Customers to address inquiries related to accounts receivable.
Experience
- 2 years Accounts Receivable
- 2 years Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Ability to perform account analysis and reconciliation
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of corporate and technical accounting
- Strong mathematical aptitude
- Experience using Acumatica software preferred
