We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records in accordance with GAAP standards. This role is essential in supporting our overall financial operations and requires a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Duties
- Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Perform data entry tasks to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in the accounting system.
- Manage accounts payable transactions, including payment processing and reconciliation of vendor statements.
- Assist in general ledger reconciliation to ensure all accounts are balanced.
- Utilize software tools such as Quicken, Workday, and ADP for effective financial management.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
- Support accounting and payroll management as needed.
- Maintain organized records of all accounts payable documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, Oracle, Quicken, Workday, or ADP is preferred.
- Knowledge of GAAP principles and practices is essential.
- Ability to perform general ledger reconciliation effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers as well as senior management.
Preferences:
- College degree in Finance or related field.
- Sage experience
