Due to our successful growth, we are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Associate to join our HOA Management team to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. This role is a great opportunity for someone wanting to grow in their financial career with our company.
Accounts Payable Associate responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports, statements, and collection notices. You will utilize accounting software programs to process daily business transactions, account payables, account receivables, and client on boarding transactions. Ultimately, a successful Accounts Payable Associate will ensure that the HOA’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.
Daily Tasks include:
- Provide accounting and clerical support for Homeowner and/or Condo Owner Associations.
- Accurately prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements
- Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
- Provide assistance and support to Community Managers and HOA Board members as required.
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
Skills
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable clerk or Accounts Payable clerk
- Eagerness to learn HOA accounting and grow with our company
- Experienced with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Previous experience in HOA management and/or customer service strongly preferred, but not required
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Self-starter who can work both independently and with a team
- Experience using Microsoft Windows/Excel, spreadsheets and financial reports
- Aptitude for numbers
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
- Well organized
- High school degree
- Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus
