We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in payroll software systems.
Duties
- Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy in hours worked and deductions.
- Perform account reconciliation to verify payroll data against financial records.
- Utilize HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or Workday for efficient payroll management.
- Maintain accurate employee records and update changes in status or compensation.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure seamless integration of payroll data into financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll-related reports for management review.
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies or concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Requirements
- Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
- Strong technical accounting skills with a focus on payroll processing.
- Experience with account reconciliation practices.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or Workday is preferred.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable processes is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with employees and management.
