Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is responsible for handling administrative tasks, maintaining financial records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the office. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general administrative duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, and managing office supplies.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Process invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations.
  • Payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports for management.
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical files, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Assist with tax filings, budgeting, and financial planning as needed.
  • Communicate with vendors, clients, and employees regarding financial transactions and office-related matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficiency of the office.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant, bookkeeper, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Pay: $24.03 - $33.65 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
